حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَهُوَ يَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ حَتَّى وَارَى التُّرَابُ شَعَرَ صَدْرِهِ، وَكَانَ رَجُلاً كَثِيرَ الشَّعَرِ وَهْوَ يَرْتَجِزُ بِرَجَزِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ لَوْلاَ أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا وَلاَ تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلاَ صَلَّيْنَا فَأَنْزِلَنْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَا وَثَبِّتِ الأَقْدَامَ إِنْ لاَقَيْنَا إِنَّ الأَعْدَاءَ قَدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا إِذَا أَرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أَبَيْنَا يَرْفَعُ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated by Hadrat al-Bara' (may Allah be well pleased with him) who states: I saw the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on the day of the Battle of the Trench carrying earth until the dust covered the hair on his blessed chest — and he was a man with much hair — while reciting the poetic verses of Hadrat Abdullah (bin Rawaha, may Allah be well pleased with him): "O Allah! Were it not for You, we would not have been guided, nor given charity, nor prayed. So send tranquility upon us, and make our feet firm when we meet (the enemy). Indeed the enemies have transgressed against us; when they intended mischief, we refused." He would raise his blessed voice with these verses.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت براء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو غزوۂ خندق کے دن مٹی ڈھوتے دیکھا یہاں تک کہ مٹی نے آپ کے سینے کے بال چھپا دیے — اور آپ بہت بالوں والے تھے — اور آپ عبداللہ (بن رواحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کا رجز پڑھ رہے تھے: "اے اللہ! اگر تو نہ ہوتا تو ہم نہ ہدایت پاتے، نہ صدقہ دیتے نہ نماز پڑھتے۔ پس ہم پر سکینت نازل فرما اور جب مقابلہ ہو تو قدم جما دے۔ بے شک دشمنوں نے ہم پر زیادتی کی ہے، جب انہوں نے فتنہ ارادہ کیا تو ہم نے انکار کیا۔" آپ ان اشعار میں آواز بلند فرماتے تھے۔
