وَقَالَ تَجِدُونَ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ أَشَدَّهُمْ كَرَاهِيَةً لِهَذَا الشَّأْنِ حَتَّى يَقَعَ فِيهِ.

And he said: "You will find among the best of people the one who most dislikes this matter (of leadership) until he falls into it."

وَكَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرَّكْعَةِ الْآخِرَةِ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ سَلَمَةَ...
