وَقَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ قَالُوا فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ فِي ذَا مِثْلَكُمْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي فَاكْلَفُوا مَا لَكُمْ بِهِ طَاقَةٌ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
And he said: "Beware of continuous fasting (wisal)." They said: "But you fast continuously, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "I am not like you in that regard. I spend the night with my Lord feeding me and giving me drink. So burden yourselves only with what you can bear."
