حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَكَمُ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رَضِيَ الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا وَأُهْلِكَتْ عَادٌ بِالدَّبُورِ ".
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared, 'I was granted victory through the east wind, and the people of Aad were destroyed by the west wind.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مجھے مشرق کی ہوا سے نصرت عطا ہوئی اور قوم عاد پر مغرب کی ہوا سے عذاب آیا۔
