Hadrat Ali al-Murtada (may Allah ennoble his countenance) narrates: 'We possess nothing (in written form regarding religious rulings) except the Book of Allah and this document from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).' In this document it is written: 'Madinah is a sanctuary from Mount Air to such-and-such place. Whoever introduces an innovation therein or shelters an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind; neither his obligatory nor voluntary worship will be accepted.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) also stated: 'The covenant of protection given by any Muslim binds all Muslims. Whoever violates a Muslim's guarantee of protection, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind; neither his obligatory nor voluntary worship will be accepted. And whoever (a freed slave) takes others as patrons without the permission of his manumitters, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind; neither his obligatory nor voluntary worship will be accepted.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: ہمارے پاس کتاب اللہ اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے اس صحیفے کے سوا (شرعی احکام سے متعلق) کوئی تحریر نہیں ہے۔ اس صحیفے میں لکھا ہے: مدینہ عائر (پہاڑ) سے فلاں مقام تک حرم ہے۔ جس نے اس حد میں کوئی بدعت نکالی یا بدعتی کو پناہ دی تو اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ اور تمام فرشتوں اور سب انسانوں کی لعنت ہے، نہ اس کی کوئی فرض عبادت قبول ہو گی نہ نفل۔ اور آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: تمام مسلمانوں کا عہدِ امان ایک ہے (یعنی کسی ایک مسلمان کی دی ہوئی امان سب کی طرف سے ہے)۔ جس نے کسی مسلمان کی دی ہوئی امان کو توڑا تو اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ اور تمام فرشتوں اور سب انسانوں کی لعنت ہے، نہ اس کی فرض عبادت قبول ہو گی نہ نفل۔ اور جو شخص اپنے آزاد کرنے والوں کو چھوڑ کر ان کی اجازت کے بغیر دوسروں کو اپنا مولیٰ بنائے، اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ اور تمام فرشتوں اور سب انسانوں کی لعنت ہے، نہ اس کی فرض عبادت قبول ہو گی نہ نفل۔
