انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated the Commander of the Believers, Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him): He used to say: "There is no one on whom I (that is, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)) carry out a prescribed punishment and he dies from it whose death would grieve me, except the drinker of wine; for if he dies I would pay his blood money, because no specific prescribed punishment was issued concerning it from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)."
اردو ترجمہ
امیرالمؤمنین سیدنا علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے، وہ کہتے تھے کہجس شخص پر میں (یعنی سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہ) حد قائم کروں اور وہ مر جائے تو مجھ کو اس کا کچھ رنج نہ ہو گا سوائے شرابی کے کہ اگر یہ مر جائے تو میں اس کا خون بہا ادا کروں گا کیونکہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے اس کے متعلق کوئی حد مخصوص صادر نہیں ہوئی۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2160]
