Narrated the Commander of the Believers, Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): In the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), there was a man whose name was Abdullah, and people used to call him "Himar, Himar." This man used to make the Prophet (peace be upon him) laugh, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) had also had him beaten for drinking wine. Then one day he was brought before the Prophet (peace be upon him), having been seized (because he had drunk wine), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered him to be beaten again. One of those present said, "O Allah, curse him! How often he is brought (drunk) before the Prophet (peace be upon him)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Do not curse him. By Allah! I know that he loves Allah and His Messenger."
اردو ترجمہ
امیرالمؤمنین عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دور میں ایک شخص کا نام عبداللہ تھا اور لوگ اس کو حمار حمار کہتے تھے، یہ شخص نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ہنسایا کرتا تھا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس کو شراب پینے پر مارا بھی تھا پھر ایک روز نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی خدمت میں پکڑا ہوا آیا (کیونکہ اس نے شراب پی تھی) نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس کو پھر مارنے کا حکم دیا۔ حاضرین میں سے ایک شخص نے کہا کہ اے اللہ! اس پر لعنت کر کہ کس قدر یہ (شراب پی کر) نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمخدمت میں لایا جاتا ہے۔ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا”اس کو لعنت مت کرو، قسم ہے اللہ کی! میں جانتا ہوں کہ یہ اللہ اور رسول سے محبت رکھتا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2161]
