حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَمُوتُ نَبِيٌّ حَتَّى يُخَيَّرَ بَيْنَ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ، فَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ وَأَخَذَتْهُ بُحَّةٌ يَقُولُ {مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ} الآيَةَ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ خُيِّرَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated by Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) that I used to hear that no the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) dies until he is given the option to select either the worldly life or the life of the Hereafter. I heard the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in his fatal illness, with his voice sinking, saying, '(Let me be) with those upon whom You have bestowed Your favor, namely the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)s, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous.' Then I was certain that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had been given the choice.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ مَیں سنتی آئی تھی کہ کوئی نبی وفات نہیں پاتا جب تک اسے دنیا اور آخرت میں سے ایک کا اختیار نہ دیا جائے۔ مَیں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو مرضِ وصال میں سنا، آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی آواز بیٹھی ہوئی تھی اور فرما رہے تھے: ان لوگوں کے ساتھ (مجھے ملاؤ) جن پر تو نے انعام فرمایا، یعنی انبیاء، صدیقین، شہداء اور صالحین۔ تب مجھے یقین ہو گیا کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو اختیار دیا گیا ہے۔
