حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ يَمْرَضُ إِلَّا خُيِّرَ بَيْنَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا مَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَرَضَ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ أَخَذَتْهُ بُحَّةٌ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ قَالَتْ فَعَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ خُيِّرَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, from his father, from Urwa, from Aisha, who said: I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "No prophet falls ill but he is given the choice between this world and the Hereafter." She said: When the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, fell into the illness in which he passed away, hoarseness overtook him, and I heard him say, "With those whom God has favored, among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous." She said: Then I knew that he had been given the choice.
