حَدَّثنا عُمَر بن الخطاب قَال حَدَّثنا أَبُو اليمان قَال حَدَّثنا شعيب عَن الزُّهْرِيّ قال حدثني أَبُو سلمة بن عَبد الرحمن وسعيد بن الْمُسَيَّب سمعا أبا هُرَيرة يقول أتى رجل من أسلم النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم وهُو فِي المسجد فناداه فقال يا رَسولَ اللهِ إن الآخر زنى يعني نفسه فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجهه الذي أعرض قبله فقال يا رسولَ اللهِ إن الآخر زنى فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجهه الذي أعرض عنه قبله فقال يا رَسولَ اللهِ إن الآخر زنى فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجه فلما شهد على نفسه أربع شهادات دعاه رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَقَالَ هل بك جنون قال لا فقال صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم اذهبوا به فارجموه وَكان قد أحصنوهذا الحديث قد رواه غير شعيب عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد وَأَبي سَلَمة عَن أبي هُرَيرة وشعيب أحسن له سياقة وهُو فِي المسجد فناداه فقال يا رَسولَ اللهِ إن الآخر زنى يعني نفسه فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجهه الذي أعرض قبله فقال يا رسولَ اللهِ إن الآخر زنى فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجهه الذي أعرض عنه قبله فقال يا رَسولَ اللهِ إن الآخر زنى فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجه فلما شهد على نفسه أربع شهادات دعاه رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَقَالَ هل بك جنون قال لا فقال صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم اذهبوا به فارجموه وَكان قد أحصنوهذا الحديث قد رواه غير شعيب عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد وَأَبي سَلَمة عَن أبي هُرَيرة وشعيب أحسن له سياقة

Umar ibn al-Khattab narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, he said: Shu'ayb narrated to us, from az-Zuhri who said: Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman and Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib narrated to me that they heard Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) saying: A man from the Aslam tribe came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) while he was in the mosque and called out: "O Messenger of Allah, the other one has committed adultery" — meaning himself. The Prophet turned away from him. He moved to the side of his face that the Prophet had turned toward and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the other one has committed adultery." The Prophet turned away again. He moved to the other side and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the other one has committed adultery." The Prophet turned away again. When he had testified against himself four times, the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called him and asked: «Are you insane?» He said: "No." The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Take him and stone him.» He had been married. This hadith has been narrated by others besides Shu'ayb from az-Zuhri from Sa'id and Abu Salamah from Abu Hurairah, and Shu'ayb has the best chain of narration for it.
