حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْقَزَعِ وَالْقَزَعُ أَنْ يُحْلَقَ رَأْسُ الصَّبِيِّ وَيُتْرَكَ بَعْضُ شَعَرِهِ.

Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr told us; Zuhayr told us; Umar ibn Nafi' told us, from his father, from Abdullah ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade al-qaza' - and al-qaza' is that the head of a child be shaved leaving some of his hair.
