حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ تَوْبَةَ قَالَ قَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ لَقَدْ صَحِبْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ سَنَةً وَنِصْفًا فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا حَدِيثًا وَاحِدًا قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأُتِيَ بِضَبٍّ فَجَعَلَ الْقَوْمُ يَأْكُلُونَ فَنَادَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ إِنَّهُ ضَبٌّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُوا فَإِنَّهُ حَلَالٌ أَوْ كُلُوا فَلَا بَأْسَ قَالَ فَكَفَّ قَالَ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِحَرَامٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ طَعَامِي.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr told us; Shu'bah told us, from Tawbah, who said: Al-Sha'bi said: "I accompanied Ibn Umar for a year and a half, and I never heard him narrate from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, except one hadith." He said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and a lizard was brought, and the people began to eat it. Then a woman among his wives called out, 'It is a lizard!' So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Eat, for it is lawful,' or 'Eat, there is no harm.'" He said: "So he refrained." He said: "Then he said: 'It is not forbidden, but it is not among my food.'"
