حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ قَالَ إِنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ تَخَلَّى بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلَانًا قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, who said: I heard Qatadah narrate, from Anas ibn Malik, from Usayd ibn Hudayr, may Allah Almighty be pleased with him, who said: A man from the Ansar took the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) aside privately and said, "Will you not employ me as you employed so-and-so?" He said, "You will encounter, after me, favoritism [shown to others]; so be patient until you meet me at the Basin."
