Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1276 حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَرِيشِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيِّ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَ قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنَّ قَوْمًا يَجُبُّونَ أَسْنِمَةَ الْإِبِلِ وَيَقْطَعُونَ أَذْنَابَ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ «كُلُّ مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ فَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ»
English Translation
It was said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Some people cut the humps of camels and cut the tails of sheep." He said: "Whatever is cut from a living animal is considered dead (meat, i.e., unlawful to eat)."
