Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1277 حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أُنَاسًا يَجُبُّونَ أَسْنِمَةَ الْإِبِلِ وَأَذْنَابَ الْغَنَمِ وَهِي أَحْيَاءُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْبَهِيمَةِ وَهِي حَيَّةٌ فَهُوَ مَيْتَةٌ»
English Translation
They said: "O Messenger of Allah, some people cut the humps of camels and the tails of sheep while they are alive." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whatever is cut from an animal while it is alive is considered dead (meat, i.e., unlawful to eat)."
