وعنه قال: قال أبو بكر لعمر، رضي الله عنهما، بعد وفاة رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم: انطلق بنا إلى أم أيمن ، رضي الله عنها، نزورها كما كان يزورها ، فلما انتهينا إليها بكت، فقالا: ما يبكيك؟ أما تعلمين أن ما عند الله تعالى خير لرسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم قالت: إنى لا أبكي ، أني لا أعلم أن ما عند الله خير لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، ولكنى أبكي أن الوحي قد انقطع من السماء، فهيجتهما على البكاء، فجعلا يبكيان معها. ((رواه مسلم وقد سبق في باب زيارة أهل الخير)).
English Translation
Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:After the passing of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), Hadrat Abu Bakr said to 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them): "Let us visit Umm Aiman (may Allah be well pleased with him) as Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to visit her." As we came to her, she wept. They (Hadrat Abu Bakr and 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them) said to her, "What makes you weep? Do you not know that what Allah has in store for His Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is better than (this worldly life)?" She said, "I weep not because I am ignorant of the fact that what is in store for Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (in the Hereafter) is better than this world, but I weep because the Revelation has ceased to come." This reply moved both of them to tears and they began to weep along with her..
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی وفات کے بعد حضرت ابوبکر نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے فرمایا: چلو حضرت اُمّ ایمن رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے ملنے چلتے ہیں جیسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان سے ملنے جایا کرتے تھے۔ جب دونوں ان کے پاس پہنچے تو وہ رونے لگیں۔ دونوں نے پوچھا: آپ کیوں رو رہی ہیں؟ کیا آپ کو نہیں معلوم کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے پاس جو کچھ ہے وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے لیے بہتر ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: میں اس لیے نہیں رو رہی کہ مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ اللہ کے پاس جو ہے وہ آپ کے لیے بہتر ہے، بلکہ میں اس لیے رو رہی ہوں کہ آسمان سے وحی بند ہو گئی۔ اس بات نے دونوں کو بھی رلا دیا اور وہ بھی ان کے ساتھ رونے لگے۔ (رواہ مسلم)
