English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): It was the noble habit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that when food was brought to him he would ask about it: if it was a gift he would eat it, and if it was charity he would not eat it.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی عادت مبارکہ تھی کہ جب کھانا آتا تو پوچھ لیتے، اگر ہدیہ ہوتا تو کھاتے اور اگر صدقہ ہوتا تو نہ کھاتے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 519]
