English Translation
Narrated Umm 'Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent me a goat of charity, so I sent a little of its meat to the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her). Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: "Do you have any food?" She said: No, except that Nusaybah (that is, Umm 'Atiyyah) has sent us some meat from that goat which you sent her as charity. He (peace be upon him) said: "It has reached its place." (That is, for her it was charity, but now for us it is a gift.)
Urdu Translation
سیدہ ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے مجھے صدقہ کی ایک بکری بھیجی تو میں نے اس میں سے تھوڑا گوشت ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو بھیج دیا۔ پھر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس تشریف لائے اور فرمایا کہ تمہارے پاس کچھ کھانا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ نہیں مگر نسیبہ (یعنی ام عطیہ) نے ہمارے پاس اس بکری میں سے گوشت بھیجا ہے جو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کے پاس بطور صدقہ کے بھیجی تھی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وہ اپنی جگہ پہنچ گئی۔ (یعنی ان کے لئے صدقہ تھا اب ہمارے لئے ہدیہ ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 518]
