English Translation
Narrated Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was ordered to say the words of the adhan twice each and the words of the iqamah once each. And Yahya, from Ibn Ulayyah, added: I asked Ayyub about this, and he said that in the iqamah only the words "qad qamat al-salah" are said twice.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہسیدنا بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کو اذان کے الفاظ دو دو مرتبہ اور اقامت کے الفاظ ایک ایک مرتبہ کہنے کا حکم کیا گیا۔ اور یحییٰ نے ابن علیّہ سے یہ اضافہ کیا ہے کہ میں نے اسے سیدنا ایوب سے پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ اقامت میں صرف قد قامت الصلٰوۃ کے الفاظ دو مرتبہ کہے جائیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 192]
