English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah, the Exalted, than the weak believer, though in each there is good. Be eager for the things that are beneficial to you (that is, that will avail you in the Hereafter), seek help from Allah, and do not lose heart. And if any calamity befalls you, do not say, 'Had I done such-and-such, this calamity would not have come,' but rather say, 'Allah, the Exalted, decreed thus; He did what He willed,' for 'if only' opens the way for Satan."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک طاقتور مومن ضعیف مومن سے زیادہ اچھا اور محبوب ہے اور ہر ایک میں خیر اور بھلائی ہے۔ تم ان کاموں کی حرص کرو جو تمہارے لئے مفید ہیں۔ (یعنی آخرت میں کام دیں) اور اللہ سے مدد مانگو اور ہمت نہ ہارو اور جو تجھ پر کوئی مصیبت آئے تو یوں مت کہہ کہ اگر میں ایسا کرتا یا ایسا کرتا تو یہ مصیبت نہ آتی، لیکن یوں کہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی تقدیر میں ایسا ہی تھا جو اس نے چاہا کیا اور اگر مگر کرنا شیطان کے لئے راہ کھولنا ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1840]
