English Translation
Narrated Tawus: I met several companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) who said, "Everything is by divine decree." And I heard Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) say, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say, 'Everything is by divine decree, even incapacity and cleverness (that is, some people are shrewd and intelligent, and some are foolish and lazy — this too is by divine decree).'"
Urdu Translation
طاؤس کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے کئی صحابہ کو پایا وہ کہتے تھے کہ ہر چیز تقدیر سے ہے اور میں نے سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا، وہ کہتے تھے کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ ہر چیز تقدیر سے ہے یہاں تک کہ عاجزی اور دانائی بھی (یعنی بعض آدمی ہوشیار اور عقلمند ہوتے ہیں اور بعض بیوقوف اور کاہل ہوتے ہیں یہ بھی تقدیر سے ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1839]
