English Translation
Usayd ibn Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that an Ansari man spoke privately to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and asked: "Will you not appoint me as you appointed so-and-so?" The Prophet said: "After me, you will see others given preference. Be patient until you meet me at the Hawd (the Pool of Kawthar)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہانصار میں سے ایک شخص نے الگ ہو کر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے کہا کیا آپ مجھے بھی فلاں شخص کی طرح عامل (گورنر یا محصل) نہیں بنائیں گے؟ تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ میرے بعد تمہاری حق تلفی ہو گی تو صبر کرنا، یہاں تک کہ مجھ سے حوض کوثر پر ملو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1230]
