حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اطَّلَعَ مِنْ جُحْرٍ فِي حُجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِدْرَى يُخَلِّلُ بِهَا رَأْسَهُ، فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ :" لَوْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَنْظُرُنِي، لَطَعَنْتُ بِهَا فِي عَيْنَيْكَ ". وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِذْنُ مِنْ أَجْلِ النَّظَرِ "
English Translation
Hadrat Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that a man peeped through a hole into the room of the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had a comb with which he was combing his hair. When the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw him, he stated: "If I had known that you were looking, I would have poked this into your eyes." And the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Permission to enter was instituted for the sake of protecting people's gaze."
Urdu Translation
حضرت سہل بن سعد ساعدی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے حجرے میں سوراخ سے جھانکا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس کنگھی تھی جس سے آپ اپنے سر مبارک میں کنگھی فرما رہے تھے۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اسے دیکھا تو ارشاد فرمایا: "اگر مجھے معلوم ہوتا کہ تم دیکھ رہے ہو تو میں یہ تمہاری آنکھوں میں چبھو دیتا۔" اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اجازت نظر کی حفاظت کے لیے رکھی گئی ہے۔"
