Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَادَاهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ. فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ. فَلَمَّا شَهِدَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَرْبَعًا قَالَ " أَبِكَ جُنُونٌ ". قَالَ لاَ. قَالَ " اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَارْجُمُوهُ ".
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) while he was in the mosque, and called out: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! I have committed adultery.' The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) turned his face away from him. But when the man testified against himself four times, the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked: 'Are you insane?' He said: 'No.' The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then declared: 'Take him away and stone him to death.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آیا — آپ مسجد میں تشریف فرما تھے — اور پکار کر عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں نے زنا کر لیا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اس سے منہ پھیر لیا۔ جب اس نے اپنے خلاف چار مرتبہ گواہی دی تو آپ نے پوچھا: کیا تم پاگل ہو؟ اس نے کہا: نہیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اسے لے جاؤ اور رجم کر دو۔
