Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلاَنِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُرِيدَانِ السَّفَرَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا أَنْتُمَا خَرَجْتُمَا فَأَذِّنَا ثُمَّ أَقِيمَا ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا ".
English Translation
Hadrat Malik bin Huwairith (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that two men came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) intending to travel. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'When the two of you set out, call the Adhan, then call the Iqama, and the elder of you should lead the prayer.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت مالک بن حویرث رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ دو شخص نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں سفر کی نیت سے حاضر ہوئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جب تم دونوں سفر پر نکلو تو (نماز کے وقت) اذان دو، پھر اقامت کہو، پھر تم میں سے جو بڑا ہو وہ امامت کرائے۔
