حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، سَمِعَ عَطَاءً، يُخْبِرُ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ {وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ }.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Ya'la (bin Umayya, may Allah be well pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) reciting on the pulpit (the verse of Surah al-Zukhruf): 'And they shall call out: O Malik!' (43:77) — Malik being the gatekeeper angel of the Hellfire.
Urdu Translation
حضرت یعلیٰ (بن امیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو منبر پر (سورۃ الزخرف کی آیت) «وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ» (اور وہ دوزخی پکاریں گے: اے مالک!) پڑھتے ہوئے سنا۔ (مالک جہنم کا داروغہ فرشتہ ہے۔)
