Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَرَجَ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ فَجَاءَهَا لَيْلاً، وَكَانَ إِذَا جَاءَ قَوْمًا بِلَيْلٍ لاَ يُغِيرُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ، خَرَجَتْ يَهُودُ بِمَسَاحِيهِمْ وَمَكَاتِلِهِمْ، فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ قَالُوا مُحَمَّدٌ وَاللَّهِ، مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ، إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) set out for Khaybar and reached there at night. It was his practice that when he reached a people at night, he would not attack until morning. When morning came, the Jews came out with their spades and baskets. When they saw him, they exclaimed: Muhammad! By Allah, Muhammad and his army! The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: "Allahu Akbar! Khaybar is destroyed! Indeed, when we descend in the territory of a people, evil is the morning of those who were warned."
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم خیبر کی طرف نکلے اور وہاں رات کو پہنچے۔ آپ کا دستور تھا کہ جب کسی قوم کے پاس رات کو پہنچتے تو صبح ہونے تک حملہ نہ فرماتے۔ جب صبح ہوئی تو یہودی اپنے پھاوڑے اور ٹوکریاں لے کر نکلے۔ جب انہوں نے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا تو کہنے لگے: محمد! اللہ کی قسم محمد اور لشکر! نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "اللہ اکبر! خیبر تباہ ہوا! بے شک جب ہم کسی قوم کے میدان میں اترتے ہیں تو ڈرائے ہوئوں کی صبح بری ہوتی ہے۔"
