حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رضى الله عنهما عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ الْمُتَبَايِعَيْنِ بِالْخِيَارِ فِي بَيْعِهِمَا، مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا، أَوْ يَكُونُ الْبَيْعُ خِيَارًا ". قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا اشْتَرَى شَيْئًا يُعْجِبُهُ فَارَقَ صَاحِبَهُ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: The buyer and the seller both have the option (to cancel) their transaction as long as they have not separated, or the sale is on the condition of mutual option. Nafi' states: When Hadrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) purchased something he liked, he would immediately separate from the seller (so that the sale would become binding).
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: خریدار اور بیچنے والے دونوں کو اپنی بیع میں (فسخ کا) اختیار ہے جب تک وہ جدا نہ ہو جائیں، یا بیع خیار کی شرط پر ہو۔ نافع فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما جب کوئی ایسی چیز خریدتے جو انہیں پسند ہوتی تو فوراً بائع سے جدا ہو جاتے (تاکہ بیع پکی ہو جائے)۔
