حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ،. وَحَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ كَيْفَ صَلاَةُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِاللَّيْلِ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَنَامُ أَوَّلَهُ وَيَقُومُ آخِرَهُ، فَيُصَلِّي ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ، فَإِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ وَثَبَ، فَإِنْ كَانَ بِهِ حَاجَةٌ اغْتَسَلَ، وَإِلاَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَخَرَجَ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Aswad bin Yazid (may Allah have mercy upon him) who said: I asked Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be well pleased with her): How did the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) offer the night prayer? She replied: 'He would sleep during the first part of the night and wake up in the last part to pray. Then he would return to his bed. When the Mu'adhdhin called the Adhan, he would get up immediately — if he needed a bath, he would take it; otherwise he would perform ablution and go out.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت اسود بن یزید رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے دریافت کیا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم رات میں نماز کیسے پڑھتے تھے؟ فرمایا: آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم شروع رات میں سو جاتے اور آخر رات میں بیدار ہو کر نماز پڑھتے۔ پھر بستر پر واپس آ جاتے۔ جب مؤذن اذان دیتا تو فوراً اٹھ بیٹھتے — اگر غسل کی ضرورت ہوتی تو غسل فرماتے، ورنہ وضو کر کے باہر تشریف لے جاتے۔
