English Translation
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) heard a man saying: 'Labbayk on behalf of Nubyshah.' He said: 'O you who are making talbiyah on behalf of Nubyshah, this one is for Nubyshah, and perform Hajj for yourself.' Ali said: This is the correct version from Ibn Abbas, and the previous one is an error. It is said that al-Hasan ibn Umarah used to narrate it (incorrectly) but then retracted and narrated it correctly, in agreement with others' narrations from Ibn Abbas. However, he (al-Hasan ibn Umarah) is abandoned as a narrator in any case.
