أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّرِيفُ أَبُو الْفَتْحِ الْعُمَرِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ أنبأ شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ لَمَّا وَلَدَتْ فَاطِمَةُ حَسَنًا ؓ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا أَعُقُّ عَنِ ابْنِي بِدَمٍ؟ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنِ احْلِقِي شَعْرَهُ وَتَصَدَّقِي بِوَزْنِهِ مِنَ الْوَرِقِ عَلَى الْأَوْفَاضِ أَوْ عَلَى الْمَسَاكِينِ قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ شَرِيكٌ يَعْنِي بِالْأَوْفَاضِ أَهْلَ الصُّفَّةِ فَفَعَلَتْ ذَلِكَ فَلَمَّا وَلَدَتْ حُسَيْنًا فَعَلَتْ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ
English Translation
Al-Sharif Abu al-Fath al-Umari informed us > Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Shurayh > Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Aziz > Ali ibn al-Ja'd > Sharik > Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil > Ibn al-Husayn > Abu Rafi' said: When Fatimah bore al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), she said: 'O Messenger of Allah, shall I not perform aqiqah for my son with blood?' He said: 'No, but shave his hair and give in charity its weight in silver to the needy or to the poor.' Ali said: Sharik said: 'The Awfad' means the People of the Suffah. She did that, and when she bore al-Husayn, she did the same.
