حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ النَّخَعِيَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us: I heard Abdullah ibn Yazid al-Nakha'i say: I heard Abu Zur'ah narrate from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Name yourselves with my name, but do not take my kunyah."
