قَالَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَكْرَهُ الشِّكَالَ مِنْ الْخَيْلِ أَوْ الْأَشْكَالَ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ أَبِي شُعْبَةُ يُخْطِئُ فِي هَذَا الْقَوْلِ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ سَلْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ النَّخَعِيُّ.
English Translation
He said: And the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, disliked shikal in horses, or horses marked with shikal. Abdullah said: My father said: "Shu'bah is mistaken in attributing this statement to Abdullah ibn Yazid; rather it is Salm ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Nakha'i."
