حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us: I heard Abu Malik al-Ashja'i narrating from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar-Rahman, who said: One who saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told me that he prayed in a single garment, having crossed its two ends over his shoulders.
