حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُمْ مَا أَسْلَمُوا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَرَضِيهِمْ وَرَقِيقِهِمْ وَمَاشِيَتِهِمْ وَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهِ إِلَّا الصَّدَقَةُ.
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik told us: Musa ibn A'yan told us, from Layth, from Alqamah ibn Marthad, from Sulayman ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: They shall keep whatever lands, slaves, and livestock they had when they embraced Islam, and they owe nothing on that but the alms tax.
