English Translation
Aswad b. 'Amir narrated to us: Hammad b. Salama narrated to us, from Humayd, from al-Hasan, from Abu Bakra, that a man from the people of Persia came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "My Lord, Blessed and Exalted, has killed your lord" — meaning Chosroes. He said: And it was said to him — meaning to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — that he had appointed his daughter as his successor. He said: So he said: "A people shall never prosper who let a woman rule over them."
