حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى أَنَّهُمْ أَصَابُوا حُمُرًا فَطَبَخُوهَا قَالَ فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْفِئُوا الْقُدُورَ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Shu'bah told us, from Adi ibn Thabit, who said: I heard al-Bara' and Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa say that they had obtained donkeys and cooked them, and then the herald of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called out, "Overturn the cooking pots!"
