حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُومُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى مِنْ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ حَتَّى لَا يُسْمَعَ وَقْعُ قَدَمٍ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammam told us: Muhammad ibn Juhada told us, from a man, from Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to stand in the first rak'ah of the Dhuhr prayer so long that the sound of a footstep could not be heard.
