حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَعُدُّ الْمَاعُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَارِيَةَ الدَّلْوِ وَالْقِدْرِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: 'During the blessed era of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), we used to count al-ma'un (articles of daily use) as lending a bucket and a cooking pot.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان فرماتے ہیں: حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے عہدِ مبارک میں ہم «ماعون» (روزمرّہ استعمال کی چیزیں) میں ڈول اور دیگچی عاریۃً (ادھار) دینے کو شمار کرتے تھے۔
