حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْسَعِيدِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْأَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْأَبِي فِرَاسٍ، أَنَّعُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ:" أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّهُأَتَى عَلَيَّ زَمَانٌ، وَأَنَا لا أَدْرِي أَنَّ أَحَدًا يُرِيدُ بِقِرَاءَتِهِ غَيْرَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، حَتَّى خُيِّلَ إِلَيَّ بِآخِرَةٍ أَنَّ أَقْوَامَا يُرِيدُونَ بِقِرَاءَتِهِمْ غَيْرَ اللَّهِ، فَأَرِيدُوا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِقِرَاءَتِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The likeness of a believer who recites the Quran is like that of a citron - its fragrance is pleasant and its taste is pleasant. The likeness of a believer who does not recite the Quran is like that of a date - it has no fragrance but its taste is sweet. The likeness of a hypocrite who recites the Quran is like that of basil - its fragrance is pleasant but its taste is bitter. And the likeness of a hypocrite who does not recite the Quran is like that of a colocynth - it has no fragrance and its taste is bitter."
الترجمة الأردية
ابو فراس رحمہ اللہ سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: اے لوگو! ایک زمانہ ایسا تھا کہ میں یہ نہیں جانتا تھا کہ کوئی قرآن کی تلاوت سے اللہ عزوجل کے سوا کسی اور کی رضا چاہ سکتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ بعد میں مجھے خیال ہونے لگا کہ کچھ لوگ اپنی تلاوت سے غیر اللہ کو راضی کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ لہٰذا اپنی قراءت اور اعمال میں اللہ عزوجل کی رضا ہی کو مقصود بناؤ۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب التفسير/حدیث: 134]
