Narrated Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When the mu'adhdhin says 'Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar,' let the listener also repeat these same words. And when he says 'Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah' and 'Ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah,' let the listener also say these same words. And when the mu'adhdhin says 'Hayya 'ala al-salah,' let the listener say 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.' Then when the mu'adhdhin says 'Hayya 'ala al-falah,' let the listener also say 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.' After that, when the mu'adhdhin says 'Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar' and 'La ilaha illa Allah,' the listener should also repeat these same words. And when the listener says this sincerely and with heartfelt conviction, he enters Paradise" (provided he also observes the pillars of Islam).
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جب مؤذن اللہ اکبر اللہ اکبر کہے تو سننے والا بھی یہی الفاظ دہرائے اور جب وہ اشہد ان لا الٰہ الا اللہ اور اشہد ان محمدًا رسول اللہ کہے تو سننے والا بھی یہی الفاظ کہے اور جب مؤذن حیّ علی الصلٰوۃ کہے تو سننے والا لا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ کہے پھر جب مؤذن حیّ علی الفلاح کہے تو سننے والا بھی لا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ کہے اس کے بعد مؤذن جب اللہ اکبر اللہ اکبر اور لا الٰہ الا اللہ کہے تو سننے والے کو بھی یہی الفاظ دہرانا چاہئیں اور جب سننے والے نے اس طرح خلوص اور دل سے یقین رکھ کر کہا تو وہ جنت میں داخل ہوا (بشرطیکہ ارکان اسلام کا بھی پابند ہو)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 199]
