Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'There is no more emigration (from Makkah to Madinah) now, but Jihad and (righteous) intention remain. Whenever you are called to go forth for Jihad, set out immediately. Indeed, Allah the Exalted made this city (Makkah) sacred on the very day He created the heavens and the earth, and it is sacred by Allah's sanctity until the Day of Resurrection. Fighting was not lawful in it for anyone before me, nor was it made lawful for me except for a brief period of one day. It is sacred by Allah's sanctity until the Day of Resurrection. Its thorns must not be cut, its game must not be disturbed, its lost property must not be picked up except by one who intends to announce it publicly, and its vegetation must not be uprooted.' Hadrat Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him) submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Except Idhkhir, for it is needed by their blacksmiths and for their houses.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Except Idhkhir.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فتح مکہ کے دن ارشاد فرمایا: اب (مکہ سے مدینہ کی) ہجرت فرض نہیں رہی لیکن جہاد اور (اچھی) نیت اب بھی باقی ہے۔ جب تمہیں جہاد کے لیے بلایا جائے تو تیار ہو جاؤ۔ بلاشبہ اس شہر (مکہ) کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اسی دن حرمت عطا فرمائی جس دن اس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا۔ یہ اللہ کی مقرر فرمائی ہوئی حرمت کی وجہ سے قیامت تک حرمت والا ہے۔ مجھ سے پہلے بھی کسی کے لیے یہاں لڑائی جائز نہیں تھی اور مجھے بھی صرف ایک دن تھوڑی دیر کے لیے اجازت دی گئی۔ پس یہ شہر اللہ کی مقرر فرمائی ہوئی حرمت سے قیامت تک حرمت والا ہے۔ اس کا کانٹا نہ کاٹا جائے، اس کا شکار نہ بھڑکایا جائے اور اس کی گری ہوئی چیز صرف وہ اٹھائے جو اعلان کا ارادہ رکھتا ہو اور اس کی گھاس نہ اکھاڑی جائے۔ حضرت عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کی: یا رسول اللہ! اِذخر کی اجازت دیجیے کیونکہ یہ یہاں کے لوہاروں اور گھروں کے لیے ضروری ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اِذخر کی اجازت ہے۔
