الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas reported that the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) said on the day of the Conquest (of Makkah): 'Indeed, Allah made Makkah sacred the day He created the heavens and the earth. It is sacred by the sanctity of Allah until the Day of Resurrection. Its game is not to be disturbed, its trees are not to be cut, its vegetation is not to be uprooted, and its lost property is not lawful except for one who announces it.' Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib said: 'Except the idhkhir (a type of fragrant grass), O Messenger of Allah, for it is essential for the blacksmith and the houses.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) was silent for a while, then said: 'Except the idhkhir; it is lawful.'
