Hadrat Abu Musa (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that he stated: «There is no marriage except with a guardian.» Abu Bakr stated: The hadith belongs to the one who added to it, when he was a memorizer. Isra'il was a memorizer from Abu Ishaq. Those who narrated it from Shu'bah and al-Thawri from Abu Ishaq from Abu Burdah that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «There is no marriage except with a guardian» — those who stated from Abu Burdah from Abu Musa have brought what Shu'bah and al-Thawri brought, and Isra'il cannot be rejected regarding the hadith of Abu Ishaq and his memorization of it. Abu Bakr stated: It only reached me that al-Thawri and Shu'bah said to Abu Ishaq: "Did Abu Burdah narrate to you from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)?" He said: "Yes." And it did not reach us that they said: "Did Abu Burdah narrate to you?" and he said: "No, rather Abu Burdah narrated it to me." Moreover, Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq is trustworthy, and Sharik and Qays both followed Isra'il in his chain and connection. Bishr ibn Mansur, who was among the best of people, narrated it as a continuous chain from Sufyan. Ja'far ibn Awn also narrated it as a continuous chain from Sufyan. We do not know of hadiths narrated by Ja'far ibn Awn that are counted against him as mistakes, such that this would be counted among his errors. The hadith in our view has been established with continuous reports in its connection and attribution. Even if someone shortens it, the report is confirmed from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابو موسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «ولی کے بغیر نکاح نہیں۔» ابو بکر نے کہا: حدیث اس کی ہے جس نے اضافہ کیا، جب وہ حافظ تھا۔ اسرائیل ابو اسحاق سے حافظ تھے۔ جن لوگوں نے شعبہ اور ثوری سے روایت کیا ابو اسحاق سے ابو بردہ سے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «ولی کے بغیر نکاح نہیں» — جن لوگوں نے ابو بردہ سے ابو موسیٰ سے کہا، انہوں نے وہی لایا جو شعبہ اور ثوری لائے، اور اسرائیل کو ابو اسحاق کی حدیث اور اس کے حفظ سے رد نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ ابو بکر نے کہا: مجھے صرف یہ پہنچا کہ ثوری اور شعبہ نے ابو اسحاق سے کہا: کیا ابو بردہ نے تمہیں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے روایت کی؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہاں۔ اور ہمیں یہ نہیں پہنچا کہ انہوں نے کہا: کیا ابو بردہ نے تمہیں روایت کی؟ اور انہوں نے کہا: نہیں، بلکہ ابو بردہ نے مجھے روایت کی۔ اس کے علاوہ، یونس بن ابی اسحاق ثقہ ہیں، اور شریک اور قیس دونوں نے اسرائیل کی پیروی کی اس کی سند اور اتصال میں۔ بشر بن منصور، جو بہترین لوگوں میں سے تھے، نے سفیان سے مسند کیا۔ جعفر بن عون نے بھی سفیان سے مسند کیا۔ ہمیں جعفر بن عون کی ایسی احادیث معلوم نہیں جو ان کے خلاف غلطیوں میں شمار ہوں، کہ یہ ان کی غلطیوں میں شمار ہو۔ حدیث ہمارے نزدیک اپنے اتصال اور اسناد میں مسلسل خبروں سے ثابت ہوئی ہے۔ اگرچہ کوئی اسے مختصر کرے، لیکن خبر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے ثابت ہے۔
