أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِلَيْلَةٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ؟ حَارِسٌ حَرَسَ فِي أَرْضِ خَوْفٍ لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ رَفَعَهُ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ وَوَقَفَهُ وَكِيعٌ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, from Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ya'qub al-Hafiz, from Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Musaddad, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Thawr ibn Yazid, from Abd al-Rahman ibn A'idh, from Mujahid, from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Shall I not inform you of a night better than Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree)? A guard who stands watch in a land of fear, who may never return to his family. Yahya al-Qattan reported it as marfu' (attributed to the Prophet), and Waki' reported it as mawquf (attributed to the Companion).
