حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْضَمٌ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ الْحَيَّةِ وَالْعَقْرَبِ.

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn al-Mubarak, who said: Yahya narrated to me, he said: Damdam narrated to me, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the killing of the two black creatures during prayer: the snake and the scorpion.
