Isma’il told us: Ayyub told us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Qatadah, from Yusayr ibn Jabir, who said: A red wind arose in Kufah, and a man came having no other cry but "O Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, the Hour has come!" He said: He was reclining, so he sat up and said, "The Hour will not come until inheritance is no longer divided, and no one rejoices over spoils of war" — he said, an enemy that gathers against the people of Islam, and the people of Islam gather against them — and he mentioned the hadith — he said: "The cry will come to them that the Dajjal has appeared among their offspring, so they will abandon what is in their hands and turn back, and they will send ten horsemen as a scouting party." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "I indeed know their names, the names of their fathers, and the colors of their horses; they are the best horsemen on the face of the earth on that day" — or he said, "they are among the best horsemen on the face of the earth on that day."
