Ali ibn Ishaq told us: Abd Allah, that is Ibn al-Mubarak, informed us: Humayd told us, from Anas, he said: It was as if he - meaning the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - said: "The lower garment reaches to the middle of the shin." This was hard upon them, so he said: "Or to the ankles, and there is no good in anything lower than that."
