حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ سَنَةٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَبَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَامَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلَكَ الْمَالُ وَجَاعَ الْعِيَالُ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَسْقِيَنَا فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ وَمَا تُرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ قَزَعَةٌ فَثَارَ سَحَابٌ أَمْثَالُ الْجِبَالِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ عَنْ مِنْبَرِهِ حَتَّى رَأَيْنَا الْمَطَرَ يَتَحَادَرُ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.

Ali ibn Ishaq told us: Abd Allah informed us: al-Awza'i informed us, he said: Ishaq ibn Abd Allah ibn Abi Talha al-Ansari told me, he said: Anas ibn Malik told me, he said: A drought befell the people in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He said: While the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was delivering the Friday sermon, a Bedouin stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, wealth has perished and the dependents have gone hungry, so pray to Allah to give us rain." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, raised his hands, and there was not seen a wisp of cloud in the sky. Then clouds rose up like mountains, and he had not yet descended from his pulpit when we saw the rain trickling down his beard. Then he mentioned the rest of the hadith.
