نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا جُوبَيْرٌ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:" لِكُلِّ مُطَلَّقَةٍ مَتَاعٌ حَتَّى الْمُخْتَلِعَةِ".
Al-Dahhak said: "Every divorced woman is entitled to a consolation gift, even the one who sought khul' (divorce initiated by the wife)."

نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: أنا أَيُّوبُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، يَقُولُ:" لِكُلِّ مُطَلَّقَةٍ مَتَاعٌ".

نا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ:" هِيَ أُمُّ وَلَدٍ".
Al-Hasan said: "She is an umm walad."
نا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ:" لا تَكُونُ أُمَّ وَلَدٍ حَتَّى تُحْدِثَ عَنْهُ وَلَدًا آخَرَ".
Ibrahim said: "She does not become an umm walad until she bears him another child (after he purchases her)."
نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، مِثْلَهُ. قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ: وَهُوَ الْقَوْلُ.

نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ،" أَنَّهُ كَانَلا يَرَى طَلاقَ الشِّرْكِ شَيْئًا",
Al-Hasan did not consider divorce pronounced during the state of polytheism (shirk) to have any effect.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّهُ" كَانَ يَرَاهُ جَائِزًا".
Ibrahim considered divorce pronounced during the state of polytheism to be valid.

Al-Sha'bi also considered divorce pronounced during the state of polytheism to be valid.

Hammad said: "If a man divorces his wife before consummation and, thinking he still has the right of return, has relations with her — he owes one and a half dow...
نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، وَمَنْصُورٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:" صَدَاقٌ وَاحِدٌ".
Al-Hasan said: "Only one dowry is required."
نا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، مِثْلَ قَوْلِ الْحَسَنِ.
Al-Sha'bi held the same view as al-Hasan (one dowry).
نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ: الْقَوْلُ قَوْلُ حَمَّادٍ.
